15/8 for Suarez to leave Anfield
Bookmaker Sportingbet offer odds of 15/8 that Luis Suarez leaves Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The Uruguayan striker has been caught at the centre of a racism row and was required to apologise for refusing to shake Patrice Evra’s hand at Old Trafford on Saturday. The club also issued an apology after admitting they were disappointed by the player’s actions.
“We are extremely disappointed Luis Suarez did not shake hands with Patrice Evra before yesterday's game. The player had told us beforehand that he would, but then chose not to do so,” said managing director Ian Ayre.
“He was wrong to mislead us and wrong not to offer his hand to Patrice Evra. He has not only let himself down, but also Kenny Dalglish, his teammates and the Club.”
Although there has been no suggestion that the player could be moved on in the summer, bookmakers are clearly alert to the possibility with odds of 4/11 being offered on him remaining on Merseyside for next season.
Paddy Power offer odds on Suarez’s club after the summer transfer window and go 7/1 that he joins Manchester City, 8/1 that he goes to Paris St Germain and 10/1 that he signs for Chelsea.
