200/1 that Aguero injured by Balotelli firework

It is 100/1 that he was injured on Balotelli's trampoline

Paddy Power have opened a betting market on the nature of Sergio Aguero’s mystery injury and offer odds of 100/1 that it was caused by a firework set off by teammate Mario Balotelli.

The Even money favourite is that he fell off the team bus, while a toe-nail fungal infection is a 2/1 chance and it is 5/1 that he will miss the weekend’s game against Sunderland because he walked into a glass door.

Roberto Mancini refused to elaborate on the cause of injury after he reported the Argentine could be out for up to two weeks and will certainly miss this Saturday’s game.

“It is a stupid injury. It was not his fault,” said the Man City manager.

“But he can't play with this injury; for one day, 10 days or two weeks. I don't know.”

When pushed on the issue of the cause of his injury Mancini replied: “I prefer not to say. But he couldn't play against Stoke and can't play tomorrow. I hope he can recover for Arsenal next weekend.”

Paddy Power also go 5/1 that the striker was injured getting out of bed, 8/1 that he fell down the stairs and the same price that he slipped in the shower. It is 50/1 that Tevez injured him in training, 100/1 that he was injured on Balotelli’s trampoline and 200/1 that the young Italian debilitated his teammate by throwing a dart at him.
