5/4 Benitez to still be Chelsea manager for next season
Rafa Benitez is 5/4 with Coral to still be at Stamford Bridge for the opening day of the 2013/14 season ahead of Chelsea’s fixture against Fulham on Wednesday evening.
After receiving a very hostile reception in his opening match in-charge at Stamford Bridge last Sunday, Benitez will be hoping that victory against Fulham will help to silence the Chelsea boo-boys. It’s 2-5 that Chelsea win their first match under the Spaniard against Fulham and it’s 4/1 that the 52-year-old has to wait until his Chelsea side take on West Ham at the very beginning of December.
Chelsea’s next fixture sees the Blues face Nordsjaelland in a must-win Champions League Group E match. It’s 9/2 that Benitez’s first victory comes against the current Danish champions.
Following Chelsea's European clash, the Blues have to play away against Sunderland and then Leeds United. It’s 50/1 that Rafa’s first win comes at Stadium of Light and 100/1 is quoted that Benitez has to wait until the trip to Elland Road. It’s 200/1 that Chelsea don’t win any of the above five matches.
“If Benitez is going to win over the Chelsea boo-boys, the 52-year-old is going to have to make an instant impact at the Bridge, starting with Fulham,” Coral’s Tim Reynolds told Football Betting News.
“The Cottagers have lost their last two league games and with Brede Hangeland still missing for Fulham, Benitez’s first win shouldn’t be far away,” added Reynolds.
