6/5 for Hoops to overcome Swans

QPR have not kept a clean sheet since they beat nine-man Chelsea in October

Queens Park Rangers host Swansea City at Loftus Road on Wednesday evening in a huge game at the foot of the Premier League table.

Bobby Zamora and Joey Barton were left out for QPR's weekend defeat to league-leaders Manchester United but both are expected to return to face their fellow Premiership newcomers. Captain Shaun Derry, however, will be missing through suspension having been sent off under controversial circumstances at Old Trafford.

Swansea may recall Scott Sinclair and Danny Graham to their starting line-up after both were left out of the side beaten by Newcastle United on Good Friday.

QPR have not kept a clean sheet since they beat nine-man Chelsea in October 2011 and only three sides have conceded more at home this season. Most bookmakers offer odds of 8/11 for both teams to score on Wednesday night.

Swansea, however, have scored just one goal in their last three games and Brendan Rodgers will be keen to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat. To do so, would all but confirm their Premier League survival, leaving them at least 11 points above the relegation zone with just five games remaining.

QPR have received seven red cards during the campaign and are 8/1 with Blue Square to earn an eighth on Wednesday. With games against Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester City still to come, Mark Hughes will know the importance of a win over Swansea.

With top scorer Danny Graham on a current seven-game goal drought, the Swans have become reliant on goals from midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson. The Iceland international has scored six times in his last five away games and is available at odds of 11/4 with Paddy Power to score at any time during Wednesday's game.

The visitors are likely to play their usual patient football and they may retain possession for long periods but the urgency is likely to come from the hosts. Desperate for points, Rangers have beaten Liverpool and Arsenal at Loftus Road in recent weeks and a third consecutive home win is available at 6/5 with Paddy Power.
