8/15 for City to win title by goal difference

The two Manchester clubs go into the final game of the season locked on 86 points

William Hill are offering odds of 8/15 that Manchester City win this year’s Premier League title on goal difference from Manchester United.

The two Manchester clubs go into the final game of the season locked on 86 points, but City’s goal difference is eight better than their neighbours’ meaning United are relying on Roberto Mancini’s men slipping up.

“City won't really care how they win the title, but there are plenty of potential outcomes for punters to speculate on,” said Hills spokesperson Graham Sharpe.

Odds of 7/2 are offered that City win the title by two points, it is 6/1 that they win by three points and 50/1 that they win by a single point.

City host relegation threatened QPR on the final day while United travel to Sunderland. There is also betting available on the margin of goal difference that City win the title by with ‘8-9’ the 9/4 favourite, ‘7 or under’ at odds of 5/2 and ’14 or more’ priced at odds of 20/1.

If you don’t think that the title will be decided by goal difference then you can get odds of 6/4, while United are 5/1 to retain their Premier League crown.
