AVB odds-on to win sack race

After another humiliating Premier League thrashing on Sunday, Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is the new odds-on favourite to be the next manager to lose their job in the top flight of English football.

Spurs were battered 6-0 by Manchester City last month and although they seemed to have recovered, their 0-5 home defeat to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon suggests otherwise and leaves them in seventh place in the division with an incredible goal difference of -6.

The result has left AVB’s position in serious doubt but the bookmakers have little doubt about the fact that he will be the next for the chop with him a best price of 2/7 with Coral to be the next manager out of the exit door.

The previous favourite had been Sam Allardyce and after his West Ham side only managed a goalless draw at home to bottom of the table Sunderland on Saturday his position remained under threat. However, given the plight of Spurs, Big Sam has drifted to a best price of 12/1 with Sky Bet to be the next boss looking for a job.
