Arsenal and Spurs linked with Pato
Both Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with January moves for Corinthians and Brazil striker Alexandre Pato although according to the bookies he is most likely to still be at his current club come the end of the next transfer window.
Each of the North London clubs are thought to be in need of a striker; Arsenal to act as cover for the impressive Olivier Giroud, Spurs to improve their options as the jury is still out on summer signing Roberto Soldado whilst Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor are out of favour with Andre Villas-Boas.
Of the two, Arsenal are thought to have a better chance of signing the 24-year-old Pato as they are rated at 4/1 with 888sport to bring him in during January whilst Spurs are marginally behind at 5/1 with the same bookmaker.
There have been reports that Corinthians are happy to let the man known as The Duck leave for £10-£15million despite him being the second highest scorer in Brazil this year. However, he is a best price of just 9/10 to still be with the Sao Paulo based club come the start of February.
