Chelsea odds-on for Khedira capture

Chelsea are now odds-on to sign Germany international Sami Khedira from Real Madrid as Jose Mourinho looks to build a title winning squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge and the bookies certainly believe that he is going to swap the Spanish for the English capital as he is a best price of 8/15 with Sky Bet to make a move to Stamford Bridge.

Khedira was a key part of Mourinho’s Real Madrid side whilst the Portuguese managed at the Bernabeu from 2010 until earlier this year and he appears to want him to bolster a central midfield that includes ageing pair Frank Lampard and Michael Essien along with the consistent underperformer Jon-Obi Mikel.

The bookmakers only see the Blues as a genuine possible destination for Khedira with the next best price being the 10/1 offered on Manchester United again by Sky Bet, although if it becomes clear that Madrid will accept offers then the Red Devils may well join the race to sign him.

Chelsea have also emerged as favourites to bring in Roma midfielder Danielle De Rossi and are odds-on in places to do so although the best price remains the 2/1 that Bet Victor are offering.
