Di Canio favourite to be first to leave post

Having mustered up just one point from his side’s first three games Sunderland boss Paulo Di Canio has become the clear favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post this season.

The Italian turned his side’s form around when he arrived at the Stadium of Light at the back end of last season but the momentum has not continued over the summer and early defeats at home to Fulham and away to Premier League new boys Crystal Palace have left him under early pressure.

Coral rate the former West Ham and Sheffield Wednesday striker at 2/1 to be the first top flight manager to lose their job this season.

The Black Cats host Arsenal in their next game but more importantly they travel to West Brom after that with the Baggies currently the only team below them in the table. A loss to the Gunners followed by one at the Hawthorns and Di Canio could be in real peril.

West Brom have made an identical start to the season as Sunderland and as such Steve Clarke is  third favourite to be the next manager to go at a best price of 8/1, again with Coral whilst Alan Pardew at Newcastle has also been backed at 5/1 with Sky Bet.
