Dimitar Berbatov fancied to outscore Andy Carroll
After a frantic transfer deadline day a number of Premier League clubs now have new strikers to pin their goal-scoring hopes upon.
Dimitar Berbatov and Andy Carroll were two of the biggest signings of deadline day and Bet365 make the Bulgarian a 4/6 chance to outscore the ponytailed Geordie this coming season.
Bet365 spokesman Steve Freeth told Football Betting News: “We didn’t see much of Berbatov last season after he shared the Golden Boot in 2010/11 and it could be a great bit of business by Martin Jol if the Bulgarian gets back amongst the goals.”
The former Manchester United striker is 8/11 to score ten or more Premier League goals this season and 2/1 to notch against his former side in February.
Andy Carroll gets a quote of even money from bet365 to score 10 or more Premier League this season.
“Big Andy rejoins Big Sam and the striker may get the service he desires at West Ham,” added Freeth.
The bookmaker are, however, anticipating that Scott Sinclair will find goals are harder to come by at the Etihad Stadium following his move to Manchester City from Swansea. Bet365 offer odds of 5/6 that he scores five or more Premier League goals this season.
“Sinclair already has one to his name this season and he scored plenty during his time at Swansea, but a number of those were penalties and chances may be limited at Man City,” concluded Freeth.
