England now odds-on to top Group H

England remain favourites to win Group H of European World Cup Qualifying with just three games to go including a tricky looking trip to face Ukraine in Kiev this Tuesday night.

If Roy Hodgson’s side were to lose away to the Ukrainians then they would be left in second place in the group, level on points with Montenegro who they are set to host at Wembley in October so whilst their fate is very much in their own hands, it could all go very wrong as it did prior to Euro 2008.

The bookmakers thoroughly expect the Three Lions to come through this test though with the best price on England topping Group H being the 8/15 offered by Bet365.

Ukraine are clearly still in with a chance of pipping England to top spot and are available to do so at 9/4 with William Hill whilst Montenegro are way behind at 16/1 with Ladbrokes.

In terms of going on to win the World Cup in Brazil next year, England are a best price of 25/1 with Sky Bet, reflecting how unlikely a first tournament win on foreign soil is. The favourites are the home side at a best of 7/2 with William Hill followed by their near neighbours Argentina who are at 5/1 with Boyle Sports.
