Frank Lampard favourite to join MLS club in summer
With Chelsea reportedly set to show Frank Lampard the exit door this summer, Coral make a move to any MLS side the 4/1 favourite for his next step.
A switch to Premier League leaders Manchester United or bottom club QPR are both priced at 5/1, with Real Madrid 10/1, Monaco 14/1 and Arsenal 16/1.
"If Chelsea, as it appears, don't want to keep Frank Lampard, we do not think there will be any shortage of clubs willing to sign the midfielder, with a trans-Atlantic move most likely in our book," Coral's David Stevens told Football Betting News.
Lampard’s future has been subject to intense media speculation over the past few months as his contract at Stamford Bridge comes to an end this summer. And the player’s agent Steve Kutner has this week confirmed that he will not be offered a new deal to stay with Chelsea into next season.
“Chelsea executives told Frank in Japan during the Club World Cup then again reconfirmed with me after the Everton victory that in no circumstances will he be offered a new contract to stay at the club after the end of this season,” Kutner told the Daily Mirror.
“Nothing since has changed in any respect.
“Frank has had to accept that and just wants to carry on playing football for Chelsea so as to finish the season as successfully as possible for the club that he loves.”
