Hughes exit odds cut

Cisse's leveller may well have bought him some more time

Sky Bet make Mark Hughes odds-on at 4/5 to be the first Premier League manager to leave after QPR’s winless run continued with a 1-1 draw with Reading.

The Hoops climbed above Southampton, whose manager Nigel Adkins is the 5/2 second favourite to be the first boss to go, only on goal difference thanks to the point and are now just 13/8 for relegation, having started the season at 4/1.

Sky Bet Football Trader Chris Spicer told Football Betting News: “We actually went 1/2 for Hughes to be the first Premier League boss to go as the Hoops trailed at half-time, with a defeat leaving them rooted to the foot of the table.

“Cisse’s leveller may well have bought him some more time, but a failure to pick up a first win in their crucial upcoming clashes with Stoke and Southampton would surely prompt the board to make their move.

“Harry Redknapp looks to be the perfect replacement given his fine work coming in to turn the fortunes of Tottenham’s underperforming squad, and we make QPR 1/2 favourites to be the next club he manages.”
