Juventus new Europa League favourites

After the arrival of the ousted Champions League teams for the knockout phase of the Europa League it is Italian champions Juventus who are the new favourites to win the competition.

Third-placed teams in the Champions League group stage move to take part in the remainder of the Europa League and it is no surprise that those sides now dominate the betting in the secondary tournament. As mentioned it is now Juve who command the shortest odds at a best price of 11/2 with Stan James.

Other Italian teams involved include Napoli and Fiorentina and they are fairly strongly fancied as well at best prices of 10/1 and 14/1 respectively with Sky Bet. Napoli certainly look the better punt of the two having picked up an impressive 12 points in their Champions League group which saw them very unlucky to be eliminated.

It is Tottenham that are second favourites for the competition though, despite coming through from the start of this competition. After eight straight comfortable wins Spurs are a best price of just 15/2 with 888sport to lift the trophy come the end of the season.

A standout price seems to be Ajax who are available at 33/1 with William Hill. The Dutchmen were eliminated from a tough Champions League group including Barcelona and AC Milan and are still a very decent team.
