La Liga title race hots up

The title race in La Liga is as tight as it has been for many years with the top three teams; Barcelona Real and Atletico Madrid currently only separated by one point.

The weekend proved to be an excellent one for Real as they romped to a 5-0 victory away at Real Betis with Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo both on target. This result took them to one point behind their city rivals Atletico and Barca who were both held to 1-1 draws by Sevilla and Levante respectively.

Barcelona lead the way but only by goal difference from Atletico but that is enough for the Catalans to remain odds-on favourites to retain their La Liga title at a best price of 4/5 with Bet Victor.

Real are clearly in fine form having scored nine and conceded none in their last three games, winning them all. Just one point off the lead, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are now a best price of just 7/4 with 888sport to win the title having drifted an awful long way out earlier in the season.

They remain a point behind Atletico though who are defying the odds to remain in touch with the big two in Spain as star striker Diego Costa continues to find the back of the net. Diego Simeone’s men are not fancied to maintain their challenge till the end of the season though and are out at 6/1 with Sky Bet to win La Liga.
