Lallana and Henderson still long shots for World Cup

After winning his first two England caps in the friendly defeats to Chile and Germany, Adam Lallana remains a big price to make it to the World Cup next year although many will believe he has every chance of still booking his place on the plane to Brazil.

The Southampton skipper did not look out of place in the England side although the Three Lions did not perform especially well in either match so it was more a case of he looked no worse than anybody else on the two days.

His lack of serious impact means that Bet Victor are happy to still offer 3/1 on him being in the final squad for the tournament next summer, which does look generous on a man who has started the last two games and is in fine  form for his club who are performing very well.

An even more tempting price is the 7/1 offered by Bet Victor on Jordan Henderson making it to Brazil. He may not be the most popular choice amongst England fans but Roy Hodgson and his club boss Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool clearly rate him.

He came on during each of the friendlies and now has seven international caps to his name. He has played every game for Liverpool so far this season and if he keeps that up he will surely get the call.
