Lambert odds-on to score on full England debut

Rickie Lambert will make his first start for England on Friday evening against Moldova at Wembley in a World Cup qualifier and he is odds-on to continue his goal scoring feats for the national team and hit the back of the net again.

The Southampton striker sensationally scored with his first touch of a ball in an England shirt when he came off the bench against Scotland last month and now he is expected to keep up his 100% goals to games ratio as Bet365 are offering a best price of 5/6 on him to score at any time against the Moldovans.

If you fancy Lambert to make an early impact again, as he did against the Scots, then he can be backed at 9/2 with William Hill to be the first goal scorer at Wembley on Friday evening.

The corresponding fixture between the two teams finished 5-0 in Chisnau almost a year ago to the day with goals from Leighton Baines, Jermain Defoe, James Milner and two from Frank Lampard, so the bookies are expecting another comfortable night for the Three Lions.

England are a miniscule 1/16 to win the game with most bookies but a much more tempting 13/8 with Coral with a -3 handicap.
