Mancini 9/2 to be the next Premier League casualty

Roberto Mancini is now 9/2 (from 7/1) with Coral to be the next Premier League manager to go, following Manchester City’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester United.

The result means Man City are now six points adrift of league leaders United, and puts City manager Roberto Mancini well under the spotlight.

It’s 4/6 that Mancini leaves the Etihad Stadium before the start of the 2013/14 season and it’s 4/7 the Citizens end this season pot-less.

“Having gone crashing out the Champions League mid-week and now losing to rivals United, questions are surely going to be asked about Roberto Mancini’s position at the Etihad Stadium,” Coral’s Tim Reynolds told Football Betting News.

“If City fail to successfully defend their Premier League title, Mancini could easily find himself looking for another job.”

In the Premier League title betting, Manchester United are now 4/9 to win a 20th top-flight title, with Man City 9/4.
