Ozil odds-on for Manchester United move

Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil is now available at odds-on to join Manchester United this summer whilst he is also being strongly linked with a move to Arsenal before the transfer window slams shut at the end of August.

The Germany international was thought to be integral to Carlo Ancelotti’s plans at the Santiago Bernabeu but it has emerged that is he who is likely to make way if they do manage to bring in Gareth Bale for a world record fee.

The Premier League champions are now 4/7 with Sky Bet to bring in the 24-year-old before September, a transfer which would see them dip into the market for the first time this year and in some style.

Reports in the Spanish media suggest that Arsenal are  interested in signing Ozil as well though and are prepared to make a bid for him in the coming days. The Gunners are some way behind the Red Devils in the odds though at a best price of 6/1 again with Sky Bet. The way these transfer sagas have been developing in recent weeks though this could prove to be an incredibly generous price as the situation changes in the coming days.
