Pogba completes Old Trafford return

Paul Pogba has finally completed his long protracted move to Manchester United, for a World record fee of £89 million. The 23-year-old returns to the club he departed in 2012, but since his acrimonious departure from Old Trafford he has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world. Jose Mourinho said upon his appointment to United that he wanted to sign four key players and after the additions of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Pogba appears to be the final piece in the jigsaw.

Pogba will bring goals, drive and energy to the United midfield and his athleticism is something that has been sorely missed from the club's engine room. With a player of his calibre now in the ranks, United will find themselves as firmly amongst the title favourites.

They are in-fact the second favourites across the board with the bookies with only their neighbours from the blue half of Manchester ahead of them. City are mostly found at around 5/2 or 9/4 though they are at a best price of 13/5 with Betfred. United are widely available at 3/1 though Sportingbet with their £25 free bet offer them at 18/5.

Due to the long time it took to complete Pogba's transfer, he has been on holiday for most of the summer following his Euro 2016 exploits. He has not really had much of a pre-season and will have only trained with his new teammates a handful of times ahead of United starting their Premier League campaign at Bournemouth this weekend. He may well start the game on the bench but nonetheless, it has not stopped Skybet offering a variety of specials related to his second United debut.

He is 5/2 to mark his debut with a goal whilst he is 10/1 to do some from outside of the penalty area, something he became renowned for at Juventus. He is 100/1 to mark his Manchester United return with a spectacular hat trick and 33/1 to be sent off. Skybet also offer odds further ahead on the season and he is priced at 14/1 to win the PFA Player of the Year.
