Real all but out of La Liga title race

The La Liga title race is set to go right down to the wire, although Real Madrid are now highly unlikely to come out on top after their 1-1 draw with Real Valladolid on Wednesday.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side lost Cristiano Ronaldo early to injury and conceded late in Valladolid, all but putting an end to their title hopes. If Atletico Madrid win on Sunday at home to Malaga then Real will no longer be able to come out on top of the pile, hence why they have stretched to 66/1 with Bet365 for the title.

Atletico remain favourites as they need just four points from their last two games. However, this is easier said than done as the second of those games is away to Barcelona. Seen as they just need a draw at the Nou Camp, Atletico remain odds-on to lift the trophy at a best price of 9/10 with Bwin.

However, Barca now know that two wins from their remaining games will hand them the title. They may not have been in top form of late, but they are more than capable of pulling off those results, which is why they are just EVENS with Sky Bet to retain their La Liga title.
