Resurgent Palace odds-against to stay up

Crystal Palace dragged themselves out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Boxing Day but they remain odds-against to avoid the drop this season.

Since the arrival of Tony Pulis in the dugout at Selhurst Park the Eagles have been resurgent and now find themselves in 17th place, ahead of Fulham, West Ham and Sunderland. The South Londoners remain a best price of 7/4 with Ladbrokes to stay in the Premier League though and there will be some who see that as great value given their current form.

The Eagles are still favourites to finish bottom of the table at a best price of 15/8 with Bet365 and that looks to be an extremely competitive market with many of the teams at the foot of the division showing form.

Sunderland also enjoyed a great Boxing Day with a win away at Everton but still prop up the table and remain three points behind Palace. The Black Cats are EVENS with Ladbrokes to avoid the drop but will need to find much more consistency if that is to prove a worthwhile bet. The Mackams are 10/3 with Bet365 to end the season bottom of the pile.
