Rio Ferdinand 2/1 to return to England set-up

Lescott and Jagielka are the 8/11 favourites to be the next centre-back pairing

Rio Ferdinand is rated just a 2/1 chance by Coral to make a dramatic return to England following the retirement of John Terry from international football.

Ashley Cole is today reported as saying that he would be happy to play alongside Rio Ferdinand for England despite Ferdinand's 'choc ice' comments on twitter, but Coral still believe it is odds-against the Manchester United centre-back returning to the England squad.

"Roy Hodgson would have to eat alot of humble pie if he wanted to ask Rio Ferdinand to return to England, and even then Ferdinand might well reject his advances and dedicate his remaining years in football to Manchester United," Coral Spokesman, Simon Clare, told Football Betting News.

John Terry is a 6/1 chance with Coral to come out of retirement and play for England again while Lescott and Jagielka are the 8/11 favourites to be the centre-back pairing for England against San Marino in their next game.
