Spurs odds-on for Europa League progress despite loss

Tottenham may have lost the opening leg of their Europa League last 32 contest with Dnipro on Thursday evening but they remain odds-on to win the return fixture and to qualify for the next round.

Both sides missed a host of chances in Ukraine, including an unbelievable open net failure from Roberto Soldado and a late penalty for the hosts saw them triumph with a 1-0 win. However, in front of their home fans and potentially with a stronger side on the field, Spurs are a best price of just 1/2 with Bwin to win the return contest at White Hart Lane next week.

The bookmakers are not quite sure by what margin they will win though as Sky Bet have made both the English and Ukrainian sides a best price of 5/6 to qualify for the last 16.

Elsewhere, despite a thoroughly impressive performance in a goalless draw with Napoli, Swansea are a massive best price of 6/1 with 888sport to qualify for the next round as they face a trip to Italy without a lead to defend.

The clear favourites for the competition are Juventus who, after beating Trabzonspor 2-0 on Thursday night, are just 3/1 with Ladbrokes to lift the trophy.
