Suarez odds-on for summer exit
Luis Suarez is 3/1 with Sky Bet to still be at Liverpool come the close of the transfer window after confirming his desire to leave the club.
The controversial Reds star was backed in from 11/1 to 10/11 to move to Real Madrid on Thursday after quotes emerged suggesting he is eager to leave the Premier League.
However, confirmation of his intention to move on has prompted an avalanche of bets on him leaving Anfield, with the odds on a summer exit plummeting from evens to 2/9, with the Bernabeu his most likely destination at 1/2 followed by PSG (10/1) and Bayern Munich (12/1).
The online bookmaker has also responded to the developments by pushing Liverpool’s top four odds out from 6/4 to 7/4, while they are 28/1 from 25/1 for the title.
Sky Bet Football Trader Chris Spicer told Football Betting News: “Thursday saw Real Madrid backed heavily to secure Suarez’s services, but given the striker’s importance to Liverpool this season we stayed odds-against on him leaving.
“However, all the money is coming for him to depart now, although we’d expect the market to level back out if Liverpool prove reluctant to sell, but their top-four hopes would surely be dented if they do sell their top scorer.”
