Suarez to be banned before heading to Munich
After Luis Suarez’s latest misplaced chomp it looks certain that the striker will miss the rest of the season before leaving for a meatier local cuisine.
Bookmaker Paddy Power has the striker at odds of 1/6 to not play another League game for Liverpool this season and odds of 5/2 that Bavarian fare will prove most appealing and Bayern Munich will be his next club.
The talented but clearly starved player is looking likely to receive a large ban from the FA and Paddy Power have given odds of 7/4 that he’ll never play for Liverpool again. They’ve also given odds of 33/1 that the player will be banned for life by FIFA or UEFA before 2016 for his antics.
With previous biting incidents on his resume fans and pundits alike have been speculating on who Suarez will bite next. However, one man who appears to be in his corner is former heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson. The reformed boxer started following Suarez on twitter on Sunday evening and Paddy Power have odds of 5/1 that the two will strike up a friendship and be pictured together in UK national press.
A Paddy Power spokesman told Football Betting News; “Suarez may well have bitten off more than he can chew with this latest episode. We’d expect that he may receive a relatively meaty ban for noshing on Ivanovic and that it may well spell the end of his Liverpool career.”
