Sunderland EVENS to be relegated

Managerless Sunderland are now a best price of just EVENS to be relegated from the Premier League this season after their defeat to Manchester United on Saturday left them with just one point from their first seven games this season.

The Black Cats performed quite well against the reigning champions and led at half time but two goals from 18-year-old Adnan Januzaj handed the victory to the Red Devils and left Sunderland bottom of the table, already six points from safety and with a goal difference of -11.

They are now odds-on with the vast majority of bookmakers for the drop but Ladbrokes are more generous than their competitors in this market and are offering EVENS for the Mackems to be in the Championship next season, a price plenty will be keen to take up at this stage.

Sunderland’s next contest is a tough one away to Swansea a week on Saturday and if they are to lose that and fall more than six points from safety then that price is set to shorten further.

The Black Cats may well be expected to finish in the bottom three by many but the hot favourites for the drop are Crystal Palace who are a best price of 1/6 with Coral to be relegated.
