United 6/1 for semis after drawn first leg

Manchester United defied the odds to draw with Bayern Munich on Tuesday in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie but they must do it again if they want to progress to the final four.

The 1-1 draw at Old Trafford was an impressive result for the Red Devils but it is Bayern who remain in the box seat in terms of qualification and are just 1/8 with Bet Victor to make the semi-finals whilst United are all the way out at 6/1 with the same bookmaker.

Bayern dominated the majority of the match on Tuesday night but United also proved the German champions can be opened up and will have gained plenty of confidence from their performance. They can be backed at 11/2 with Betfred to claim another draw in Bavaria and they are a hefty 12/1 with William Hill to pick up an unlikely win.

A repeat of the 1-1 scoreline seen in Manchester can be backed at 14/1 with Bet Victor whilst either team to win on penalties is available at a mammoth 55/1 with Paddy Power.
