Apologetic Tevez 3/1 to stay at City

It is still 1/5 that he leaves the club

Sky Bet offer odds of 3/1 that Carlos Tevez is still a Manchester City player at the closure of the 2012 summer transfer window after the Argentine issued a full and frank apology. It is still 1/5 that he leaves the club.

Tevez said in an official statement on the club’s website, “I wish to apologise sincerely and unreservedly to everybody I have let down and to whom my actions over the last few months have caused offence. My wish is to concentrate on playing football for Manchester City Football Club.”

The striker also withdrew his appeal against the club for a misconduct charge issued earlier in the season.

Roberto Mancini had earlier hinted that Tevez would be considered for selection again should he apologise for his actions. Coral offer odds of 5/6 that he makes a goalscoring return to the side when they face Blackburn this Saturday.

AC Milan remain Sportingbet’s 5/2 favourites to be Tevez’s next club, but a number of other clubs are also available at single-figure prices in the market, including PSG (4/1), Inter Milan (6/1), Corinthians (8/1) and Anzhi Makhachkala (9/1).
