Bolton to seal Ngog deal

Ngog could join Bolton after a fee was agreed in principle

Bolton are closing in on the signing of Liverpool striker David Ngog for a fee believed to be in the region of £4 million.

The 22-year-old has had limited first team opportunities since moving to Anfield from Paris St Germain in 2008 making just 21 starts and 42 substitute appearances in three years.

Although the Frenchman was popular with previous Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez current boss Kenny Dalglish has told him that he can leave the club.

Ngog was linked with a move to Sunderland earlier in the season but the deal fell through when the two parties could not agree on personal terms but now could join Bolton after a fee was agreed in principle.

Trotters manager Owen Coyle is keen to add some firepower to his squad and increase competition for places up front where Kevin Davies and Ivan Klasnic have begun the season in goalscoring form.
