City favourites to retain title

bookmakers are predicting that the time between drinks won't be nearly as long in the future

Manchester City have been made the 11/8 favourites to win the 2012/13 Premier League title after snatching this year’s honours in dramatic style.

It took injury time strikes from Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero for The Citizens to seal a first English football league title in 44 years. But bookmakers are predicting that the time between drinks won’t be nearly as long in the future.

“It looked as if Manchester City had thrown this season’s title away when it was at their mercy, but after the most dramatic ending to a Premier League season we have ever seen, they have denied Manchester United another title win, and with the spending available to them, and with the experience of this season’s title race to learn from, we already favour City to retain their crown next season,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

Manchester United are made the 9/5 second favourites in the betting, followed by Chelsea at odds of 5/1, Arsenal at 11/1 and both Liverpool and Tottenham each at 25/1.
