Fulham v Blackburn Betting Preview

Fulham have been very well organised by Mark Hughes and they run a tight ship at home where they have kept four clean sheets in a row.

There's no place like home for Fulham who have picked up 21 of their 32 points at Craven Cottage whilst Blackburn have lost ten of 14 away games this season.

The two sides meet on Saturday on the same number of points in the league but with very contrasting levels of form. Fulham have been on a very good run having lost only one of their last six games whilst Blackburn have lost four of their last six.

Fulham have Philippe Senderos and Steve Sidwell out injured but could be boosted by the return of their star man Bobby Zamora after his leg break. Blackburn have David Dunn and Phil Jones out injured, Ryan Nelsen is suspended following his clumsy red card at Villa Park and Rovers will be hoping that Christopher Samba is fit enough following a virus.

Fulham Craven more Home Success

Fulham have been very well organised by Mark Hughes and they run a tight ship at home where they have kept four clean sheets in a row. In the first meeting between these teams back in September they played out a 1-1 draw. Fulham managed a creditable 1-1 draw at Eastlands last weekend and will be looking to build on that. They have only lost three games at home all season and are the favourites at 8/11 to take all three points on Saturday.

Blackburn were well and truly beaten at Villa Park last weekend losing 4-1. Their away form has been pretty woeful and they have lost six of their last seven, the bookies certainly don't fancy Steve Kean's side who are 4/1 to win. An average price of 5/2 is available on a draw.

Go Ahead Clint, Make my Day

American attacker Clint Dempsey has been a very consistent scorer for Fulham over the past four seasons and has scored four in his last four against Blackburn. He is the bookies' favourite at 5/1 to open the scoring. For Blackburn Nikola Kalinic is Blackburn's top league scorer with just five goals. He is 15/2 to open the scoring having scored Blackburn's consolation goal last Saturday.

Blackburn's defence looked extremely vulnerable last weekend and 11/10 on there being over 2.5 goals looks like a good price. Fulham do have some decent creative threats that could cause Blackburn yet more away day blues.

Both sides sit on the same points in the league, just three points clear of the relegation zone. The victor would take a big step towards Premiership safety for another year in a game that promises to be very closely fought.
