Inter Won't Sell Sneijder

In the light of these comments the club could switch focus back to signing Nasri who is already in England

Inter Milan have said that key midfielder Wesley Sneijder will not be leaving the Italian side this summer.

The Dutchman is being linked with a £35 million move to Premier League champions Manchester United after plans to sign Samir Nasri from Arsenal fell through.

This is not the first time United have tried to sign Sneijder as Sir Alex Ferguson has publicly stated that he's been interested in the midfielder for a very long time. However, Inter say that a deal is unlikely.

“Wesley Sneijder is untransferable. There is nothing to update. It's not surprising Sneijder is wanted by other clubs, but we have received no formal offer, nor do we intend to wait for one,” said Technical Director Marco Branca.

“We know what we have to do and there are no meetings planned with his agent. Sneijder is not for sale.”

United are hot on the hunt for a midfield replacement for Paul Scholes. In the light of these comments the club could switch focus back to signing Nasri who is already in England and a 7/2 shot to be a United player by the end of the summer.
