Juventus refute Tevez link

Juventus are now out to 12/1 with Stan James

Juventus sporting director Beppe Motta has revealed that the club are not in talks with Manchester City regarding a move for Carlos Tevez, but stopped short of ruling out the possibility of a future move.

Tevez has been linked with a host of high-profile clubs following his public spat with manager Roberto Mancini. Juventus were believed to be one of the front-runners but Motta has moved to dampen the severity of rumours.

“Conte gave us some names and a list of positions he would like to see improved and we will look into the market and see if from now until January we can find an interesting deal,” said Motta.

“It is clear that Tevez is a great player and we are a great club so the link is normal, but to go from that to say that we are in talks for him is misleading. At the moment we are not in negotiations with Manchester City.”

As a result Juventus are now out to 12/1 with Stan James in the Carlos Tevez January transfer betting market.

They make Inter Milan the 3/1 favoruties to sign the 27-year-old, with Real Madrid at odds of 7/2 and Corinthians 9/2. It is 9/4 that he remains at Manchester City following the closure of the January transfer window.

Tevez is due to return to training today following a two-week suspension by the club. He will face an internal disciplinary hearing in the near future.
