Liverpool Agree Adam Fee

a fee believed to be in the region of £9 million with The Seasiders.

Liverpool have confirmed that they have agreed a fee for Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam.

The Scotland midfielder was subject to numerous bids in the January transfer window. However, it now looks as though Liverpool have beaten off the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United having agreed a fee believed to be in the region of £9 million with The Seasiders.

“Liverpool football club today announced they have reached agreement with Blackpool for the transfer of Charlie Adam,” said a statement on the Liverpool website.

“The player will now travel to Merseyside for a medical and to discuss personal terms.”

Adam joined Blackpool for a fee of just £500,000 from Rangers in the summer of 2009. He has since made 78 appearances scoring 28 goals, including 12 in the Premier League last season.

The 25-year-old will become Liverpool’s second summer signing following Jordan Henderson to the club after he moved for a fee in the region of £20 million from Sunderland.
