Milan clubs made favourite to sign Balotelli

the youngster may have played his last game for the club

AC Milan and Inter Milan head Sky Bet’s betting on who will sign Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli as it looks increasingly likely that the Italian will leave the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.

Inter, who Balotelli left to join City in August 2010 for a fee in the region of €22 million, are the 3/1 second favourites, with the Rossoneri made the 2/1 favourites to take a chance on the troublesome, but talented, forward.

A move to Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala is quoted at 10/1 and Paris St. Germain are 12/1, while it is 16/1 that he remains in the Premier League with Chelsea.

Balotelli has issued an apology after being shown a red card for a series of rash challenges in Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal; a result that effectively ended City’s dwindling title aspirations.

“At the end of the season I will speak with the club and we'll see,” said Balotelli in a statement.

“I'm very sorry for what happened and for the disappointment caused to City.”

The 21-year-old received an automatic three-game ban for the sending off, with manager Roberto Mancini subsequently suggesting that the youngster may have played his last game for the club.

“I don't have any words for his behavior,” said the City boss.

“I hope for him he can understand he is in a bad way for his future and I really hope that he can change his behaviour in the future. He will probably not play in the next six games.”

Having traded at odds-on prices throughout the season City are now out to odds of 16/1 to win the Premier League title, with rivals United priced at 1/50 to retain their crown.
