Mourinho 4/1 for Chelsea return

The England managerial position itself is not ruled out

Reports suggesting that Jose Mourinho is looking for a house in London have led Paddy Power to price up a market on the Portuguese manager’s next club, making Chelsea the 4/1 second favourites.

With Harry Redknapp the front-runner for the vacant England manager’s position it is Spurs that are made the 10/3 favourites to be Mourinho’s next port of call. However, the increasing pressure on Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas makes a return to Chelsea a 4/1 chance.

“All roads in Mourinho’s gun-for-hire managerial wanderings seem to point to a return to London. There’s likely to be at least one big job becoming available in the capital in the next few months, maybe even three, and with Mourinho’s CV his name would be near the top of any list,” said Darren Haines of Paddy Power.

The England managerial position itself is not ruled out by Paddy Power who make the national team a 10/1 chance. Manchester United (9/2), Manchester City (5/1) and Liverpool (7/1) are also relatively short odds in the same market.

Mourinho’s Madrid side are currently 10 points clear of Barcelona at the top of La Liga and are odds of 1/16 to go on and claim their first Spanish league title since the 2007/08 season.
