Neymar Transfer Betting Odds

The player himself has admitted that he would relish a move to Stamford Bridge

Following his brace against Scotland on Sunday speculation regarding the future of Santos striker Neymar has become a popular point of discussion.

Having rebuffed the interests of Chelsea so far, both the player's representatives and Santos are expected to cave to the weight of money on offer sooner rather than later. And as soon as it becomes apparent that the Brazilian club are willing to listen to offers we can expect a plethora of top European clubs to enter the race to sign this exciting samba star.

The player himself has admitted that he would relish a move to Stamford Bridge telling Sky Sports News: "Chelsea's a great club. It's a dream of every player to play at Chelsea.

"If one day it happens, I will be very happy to come."

Having made the initial contact with Neymar it is believed that Chelsea would be in pole position to sign the 19-year-old when he decides to move.

For that reason bookmaker SkyBet have made the Blues the 3/1 betting favourites to sign Neymar by the end of the 2011 summer transfer window.

Manchester City will always be lively contenders whenever a world-class player is likely to move clubs for a big transfer fee; they are 8/1 to secure the player's signature this summer. City rivals United were relatively reserved in the transfer market last summer and could be primed to make a big-money splash in the market this time around. It is 10/1 that Neymar is wearing the red of Man Utd next season.

Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also unlikely to allow such a talented player to pass them by without at least declaring an interest. They can both be backed at odds of 10/1 to sign the player being touted as the next Brazilian superstar.

This could be the big transfer saga of the summer if Santos decide to allow their star player to leave. As with all big money transfers don't expect this one to be straightforward.
