Norwich v Swansea: Swans to edge high scorer

when you believe two teams are evenly matched you should back the outsider

The newly promoted teams have begun life in the Premier League fairly well this season. They currently each have eight points from seven games played with Norwich topping the trio by virtue of a better goalscoring record.

All pointers suggest that this one will be a closely fought affair with home advantage tipping the balance in The Canaries’ favour. Swansea have yet to pick up a single point on their Premier League travels but they can be excused for that having played Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea in games on the road.

The home side are without Daniel Ayala and James Vaughan but Paul Lambert could name Zak Whitbread in his starting line-up as the defender returns from a hamstring injury.

Leon Britton is in line for a return but Kemy Agustien, Ferry Bode and Alan Tate remain long-term absentees.

I’ve a long-standing philosophy that says that when you believe two teams are evenly matched you should back the outsider, should there be an obvious outsider. Here Brendan Rodgers’ side are priced at odds of 5/2 by Bet365 and at that price represent a value bet.

Swansea have won three and lost one of the last four meetings between the teams. They also play the more attractive and positive football of the two teams and there is no doubt that they will go into this match looking for a maximum points return.

I also expect there to be goals. Norwich have kept just one clean sheet in their last 13 league games while the last four meetings have produced an average of 3.25 goals per game. Back Over 2.5 goals at odds of 21/20 with William Hill.

Recommended Bet:
