Norwich v West Brom Betting Preview

6/1 that Holt opens the scoring

The Sky Sports cameras arrive at Carrow Road for the first time this season when Norwich entertain West Brom this Sunday lunchtime.

An indifferent start to their Premier League return has seen the Canaries pick up two draws from their opening three fixtures. West Brom on the other hand have nothing to show for their opening trio of games and fans are starting to get a little edgy at the lack of points on the board.

Losses to Manchester United and Chelsea in the opening two games didn’t raise any eyebrows but the home defeat to Stoke had one or two questions being asked. If they don’t get anything from this weekend’s game the pressure could begin to mount quickly.

Goalkeeper John Ruddy is unavailable for Paul Lambert’s side following his red card in the loss to Chelsea. James Vaughan could make his debut following his move from Everton.

Roy Hodgson has rated striker Shane Long as having a 50:50 chance of being involved after he withdrew from the Republic of Ireland squad and Peter Odemwingie “should be okay” according to the manager.

Bet365 make the home side as the 6/4 favourites in the Norwich v West Brom betting odds, with West Brom priced at 15/8 and the draw at 9/4.

Grant Holt opened his Premier League account a fortnight ago at Chelsea, having scored 21 goals for the club in the Championship last season. William Hill offer odds of 6/1 that he opens the scoring here and 7/4 that he scores at anytime.

Shane Long has scored two in three league games for West Brom since joining the club and also looks a good betting option at 7/1 to open the scoring and 2/1 to net at anytime.
