Odds-on for a Manchester top two

Mancini's men are now the 1/2 favourites for the title

William Hill are offering odds of just 5/6 that Manchester City win the Premier League title with neighbours Manchester United finishing in second place.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s side moved level on points with the league leaders with a 3-0 victory over Bolton on Saturday, but City pulled clear again on Monday night following a narrow 1-0 victory away at Wigan.

Tottenham, meanwhile, lost ground on the top two as they drew 1-1 with Wolves at White Hart Lane.

“Spurs' slip up at the weekend and City beating Wigan has handed the advantage to the two Manchester clubs,” said Graham Sharpe of William Hill.

Roberto Mancini’s men are now the 1/2 favourites for the title with William Hill, while United are 5/2 and Spurs are 10/1.

The same bookmaker also offer odds of 7/1 that City go the remainder of the season without losing a Premier League game.

At the other end of the table Wigan are now the 4/11 favourites to be relegated having slipped to their sixth home defeat of the season. Bolton, who are just one point better off than The Latics are 4/7 for the drop while QPR are 13/8 having slipped into the bottom three following defeat at Newcastle.
