Parker Could go on Loan

he has expressed a desire to stay in the top flight of English football

West Ham United will allow Scott Parker to go and play for a Premier League club on loan next season.

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has admitted that there have been no official approaches to sign Parker on a permanent deal but he has expressed a desire to stay in the top flight of English football.

“We've had no approaches from any club officially. We keep hearing rumours and I'd be wrong to comment further,” Sullivan told Sky Sports News.

“I've not spoken to Scott myself. His agent has told me that for his England career he'd like to play in the Premier League.”

Parker was the outstanding performer at West Ham last season in a side that got relegated from the Premier League in somewhat emphatic fashion.

He has made no attempt to hide the fact that he wants to stay in the Premier League but has to be praised for respecting his contract with West Ham and not pursuing the issue aggressively.

If Parker does leave the club then it could see West Ham's odds to win the championship increase from 9/2.
