Punters Keane on Roy for Baggies hot seat

Chris Hughton still heads the market at odds of 11/8

Bookmakers have been forced to slash their odds on Roy Keane becoming the next manager of West Bromwich Albion, with the former Sunderland and Ipswich boss now made the 5/2 joint-second favourite by Ladbrokes.

Keane shares the position in the market with former Baggies caretaker manager Michael Appleton, while Chris Hughton still heads the market at odds of 11/8 with the Magic Sign firm.

Roberto di Matteo is now a 50/1 shot to return to The Hawthorns after the Italian suggested that it would be an unlikely set of circumstances that would see him go back.

“In my life I've gone back to an ex-girlfriend and it didn’t work out,” said the current Chelsea boss.

“I'm not sure whether it’s the right move. You never know what’s around the corner in life. It’s difficult to make plans when you’re a coach, you’re depending on results.”

Claudio Ranieri is now out to odds of 16/1 with some bookmakers after he hinted that at a move to Fiorentina was most likely, while Tony Mowbray is a general fourth favourite at odds circa 8/1.
