Swansea Will Add to Squad

they have already been priced as the odds on favourites to go down

Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has promised further summer signings to help his team avoid relegation.

Swansea won promotion to the Premier League through the Championship play-offs and they have already been priced as the odds on favourites to go down.

Rodgers has been working tirelessly to bring in fresh and experienced personnel who can help his team avoid the drop after the 2011-2012 season.

“I felt from the start we needed five or six signings and we have brought in a few. Hopefully in the next two or three weeks, we will add that bit of depth,” said Rodgers in the South Wales Evening Post.

“I wouldn't say I'm disappointed that we haven't got more players in yet. I know what my targets are and I hope the club can close deals out.”

Swansea remain the favourites to go down at 4/7 although some additional players may lengthen those odds just a little bit.
