Tevez 5/6 to return to City side

The Argentinian was expected to leave the club in January

Bookmaker William Hill are offering odds of 5/6 that Carlos Tevez plays a competitive game for Manchester City this season with the striker due to return to the Etihad Stadium this week.

Tevez has stated that he is “ready to return, to win and do the best for the club.” This despite claiming that Roberto Mancini treated him like a dog during the incident that sparked the fall out between the two men in Munich last year.

“He tells me to keep on warming up and treats me like a dog,” said Tevez when talking about the confrontation.

“So when he spoke to me in that tone of voice, and I said 'No, I'm not going out'. So I was willing to play, but the coach was in such a foul mood because he had that argument with Dzeko.”

The Argentinian was expected to leave the club in January but could not finalise a move despite strong interest from AC Milan, Inter Milan and Paris St Germain. It is also 5/6 that he does not play for the club again this season.

Sky Bet offer odds of 3/1 that PSG come back in for the 28-year-old in the summer and complete the deal. Inter Milan are the 4/1 second favourites to in the same market, followed by AC Milan at odds of 6/1.
