Title hopefuls to share the spoils

United have not been beaten by Spurs in the last 25 meetings

Third-placed Tottenham Hotspur host second-placed Manchester United at White Hart Lane on Sunday in arguably the biggest game of this weekend's Premier League programme.

Scott Parker is suspended for Harry Redknapp's side, having been sent off in the 5-2 defeat against Arsenal last weekend. William Gallas and Tom Huddlestone remain on the sidelines but Rafael Van Der Vaart, Gareth Bale and Ledley King are all expected to feature.

Antonio Valencia, Tom Cleverley and Michael Owen are all unavailable for selection but Wayne Rooney should return for the visitors. Chris Smalling is a doubt following a clash of heads on international duty with England in midweek.

United have not been beaten by Spurs in the last 25 meetings between the two sides and they have won five of their last six Premier League matches. Sir Alex Ferguson will be keen to maintain the pressure on local rivals Manchester City at the top of the table but a win at White Hart Lane is no easy task. Redknapp's men have won ten of their 13 home games this campaign and yet they are available at a tempting 21/10 with BetVictor to beat the Red Devils.

United's experience of chasing a Premier League title will no doubt help them in their quest to overturn Manchester City's lead at the top but a draw is perhaps the most likely outcome with two teams desperate to avoid defeat. Bet 365 offer 12/5 for the draw.

The attacking flair in both sides suggests that goals are likely at both ends. Stan James' odds of 16/25 for both teams to score are the best available but still seem short.

William Hill's Match Winner Offer pays out at 4/1 if either side come from behind to win. Whilst such an outcome is perfectly plausible, punters would be better advised to back United and Spurs to win from behind separately at 12/1 and 14/1 respectively with Boylesports, BetVictor or Stan James.
