Toffees to come unstuck

Arsenal are looking for a sixth league win on the bounce

Everton host Arsenal at Goodison Park on Wednesday night with both sides looking to continue their impressive Premier League form.

Darron Gibson is missing through injury while Jack Rodwell and Seamus Coleman are doubts but Steven Pienaar should return to the starting line-up.

Long-term absentee Andre Santos may feature for the Gunners for the first time since the turn of the year. Arsene Wenger may, however, opt to select an unchanged line-up from the team that beat Newcastle United last week.

Arsenal are looking for a sixth league win on the bounce having become the first ever side to win four consecutive games from a losing position. Ladbrokes offer odds of 10/1 for Arsenal to win from behind at Goodison. Top scorer Robin Van Persie has netted nine times in his last eight league games and he is available at 4/1 with Coral to break the deadlock.

Everton have not conceded in any of their last three home league games but will be up against a side that has scored 16 goals in their last five league outings. A fourth successive clean sheet seems unlikely.

Last week's 3-0 defeat to Liverpool was the only time Everton have been beaten in their last 11 games. Despite their impressive run, goals have been in short supply throughout their campaign and the Toffees have scored just 13 times in their last 16 league games. Only Stoke City and Wigan Athletic have found the net fewer times this season and no Premier League stadium has seen fewer goals than Goodison Park. On that basis, there is value in William Hill's odds of 10/11 for less than 2.5 goals to be scored during the game.

Everton are undoubtedly a difficult team to beat, especially at home, but while they played out a hard-fought draw against Sunderland last weekend, Arsenal were resting. The game has a draw written all over it but if any side is going to take all three points, the visitors would have to be the favourites. Arsenal are available at 8/11 in Sky Bet's Draw No Bet market. Those odds look excellent value given that only an Arsenal defeat would incur a loss.
