Van Persie odds-on to leave Arsenal

it is just 5/2 that both men leave the club

Following Arsenal’s humiliation in Milan on Wednesday evening bookmaker William Hill are now offering odds of just 5/6 that Robin van Persie is no longer an Arsenal player at the start of next season.

The Gunners lost 4-0 and are now all but out of the running for three of the four tournaments that they entered at the beginning of the season. The same bookmaker also offers odds of Evens that Arsene Wenger has left the Emirates by the start of next season.

“This season is beginning to look like yet another write off, and the Arsenal faithful are beginning to get restless despite the years of success Wenger brought them some while ago,” said Graham Shapre of William Hill.

“We have never quoted odds this short about Wenger and RVP leaving the club.”

Odds of 8/11 are offered that Wenger is still the Arsenal manager at the beginning of the 2012/13 season. But it is just 5/2 that both men have left the club, and as big as 2/1 that they are both still at Ashburton Grove in around six months time.

AC Milan are now available at odds of just 1/150 to go through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, with Arsenal at 20/1 to progress and 250/1 to win the competition.
