Wolves v Spurs Betting Odds

Spurs have just one clean sheet in their last 14 league away matches while Wolves have only failed to score in two of their last 16 league games at Molineux.

Wolves have already defeated Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City at Molineux this season; can they add another top-five scalp to that list this weekend?

On-loan midfielder Jamie O'Hara is ineligible to play against his parent club, Steven Mouyokolo and Ronald Zubar are also out, Dave Edwards and Dave Jones are doubts, but Stephen Hunt is available for the home side.

Harry Redknapp is unlikely to risk either Gareth Bale or Rafael van der Vaart who he hopes to have available for the midweek game against AC Milan. Ledley King is also unlikely to feature despite returning to training.

Wolves undaunted by status

Both of these teams faced Blackpool in their last game, but with hugely contrasting levels of success. Tottenham last played 12 days ago at Bloomfield Road and a lacklustre display of finishing meant they went home with their tails between their legs losing 3-1.

Wolves, conversely, did what they have been threatening to do a lot this season, and romped to a 4-0 win at home to the Seasiders. In the process hauling themselves, temporarily at least, out of the relegation zone.

Raising their performances for games against the Premier League big boys hasn't been a problem for the Wanderers this season and they'll be quietly confident of taking something from this game. Especially bearing in mind they did the double over Spurs last season and the Lilywhites could have one eye on that midweek Champions League tie against AC Milan.

Wolves are 2/1 to record a second successive Premier League win while Spurs are 6/4 to get the three points that they need to keep pace with the top four, the draw is 23/10.

It's not over till the fat lady sings

No side knows better than Tottenham that the game isn't over until the referee blows the final whistle. Redknapp's side have scored a 90th minute goal in three of their last five Premier League games.

They also have just one clean sheet in their last 14 league away matches while Wolves have only failed to score in two of their last 16 league games at Molineux. Thus suggesting that goals are likely when these sides meet on Sunday, and even if they don't come early on don't give up hope until the full time whistle is blown.

Given the above, betting odds of 21/20 on there being more than 2.5 goals looks appealing as does the 6/5 on the second half having more goals than the first.

Both sides will be desperate for three points for their varying Premier League campaigns but Spurs may just have the visit of the Rossoneri playing on their minds. Mick McCarthy's men won't need a second invitation if the north Londoners are anything less than 100 per cent.
